Timpohon Trail 5.0km to 5.5km

Step-by-Step Terrain of Mount Kinabalu:

2010 Climb

At more than 3,000 meters above sea level (or more than 9,842 feet above sea level), the terrain and flora looks very different. I started to get a little tired due to high altitude.

Mist covering the mountain top.

2011 Climb

Here are the landscape and trail conditions after KM5 towards KM5.5.
It was a piece of cake for me if I had not been walking for 6 hours. :-)

From now onward until Laban Rata, most parts of the trail are like this photo. You will either step on the rocks or step in between rocks. It is actually quite easy. (But it is tiring after nearing 6 hours of walking.)

Yes, it is quite easy if you are not suffering from fatigue or altitude sickness.
